Trust isn't claimed.
It's earned, then proven.
Here's exactly how we keep reviews genuine — no vague promises, just the actual process, the numbers behind it, and the lines we won't cross.
The four things we get right — or the whole platform is pointless.
Every product decision gets tested against these. If a feature would weaken any one of them, we don't ship it.
Verified accounts only
Every reviewer links a real, confirmed email address to their account before any review can publish. No anonymous posting — the whole thing falls apart the moment you allow it.
Fraud detection, in real time
We monitor for patterns like bulk submissions, coordinated posting, and undisclosed incentivised reviews. Suspicious activity is flagged before it publishes — not cleaned up after.
Public replies, in the open
Businesses can respond publicly to any review. Disputes play out in front of everyone, which means both sides behave better — and readers see the whole story, not half of it.
No pay-to-remove. Ever.
Businesses cannot pay to delete or hide a negative review — not with us, not through a partner, not ever. Removal only happens through our moderation process, and only for policy violations.
What happens to every review, in 4 steps.
From the moment someone hits publish to the moment it lands in front of a shopper. This is the whole pipeline, no editing.
Step 1
A review is submitted
The reviewer must have a verified account and be logged in. The review is tied to that account from the moment it's created — it can't be posted anonymously later.
Step 2
Automated screening runs
Our systems check for spam patterns, duplicate content, suspicious account behavior, and known bad actors. This takes under a second and runs on every submission.
Checks performed
- · Duplicate text match
- · Account age & history
- · Bulk submission patterns
- · IP reputation signals
Typical timing
- · < 1 second to screen
- · Runs on every submission
- · No manual queue unless flagged
- · Model retrained weekly
Step 3
Published — or flagged for humans
99.7% of reviews publish instantly. The remaining 0.3% are held for a human moderator to check against our content guidelines — usually within a few hours.
Why flag instead of delete
A review we're unsure about goes to a human, not the trash. Removing it too eagerly is a bigger trust failure than leaving a slightly odd review up.
Step 4
Ongoing monitoring after publish
Reviews can be reported after publishing by businesses or other users. Reported reviews run through the same moderation pipeline — nothing gets deleted because someone complained.
What we will never do.
Trust is defined as much by what you refuse to do as by what you do. These aren't goals — they're commitments we've written into our Terms of Service.
Sell review placement
Ranking is earned through TrustScore. No business can pay for a higher position.
Remove reviews for a fee
No amount of money gets a review taken down. Removal is a moderation decision, not a transaction.
Share reviewer identities
Businesses never see who left a review. Reviewers can be honest without fear of retaliation.
Run ads against reviews
No third-party advertising on review pages. What you see is what a real person wrote — nothing inserted.

Not all "verified" badges mean the same thing.
We use three distinct badges so you always know how strong the signal is. No vague checkmarks.
Strongest signal
The reviewer's purchase was confirmed through an integrated transaction record. This is the badge to trust most when it's present.
Baseline signal
The reviewer has a confirmed account with a verified email. Not tied to a specific purchase, but the account is real and traceable.
Trust through dialogue
The owner has responded publicly. The reply often tells you more about a business than the review itself does.
Badges are applied automatically — businesses can't buy them, review them, or remove them.
Report it. We'll look at it.
If you see a review that shouldn't be here, a business that's gaming the system, or a badge that doesn't look right — tell us. A human reads every report.
Median response time to reports: 4.2 hours · Every report gets a human reply
